Song Loved by Korean People
Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK there are a lot of songs depicting the national-tree pine.

They include "I Think, Looking at You", written by Jong Song Hwan and composed by Kim Hae Song in the 1990s, which is very popular among the Korean people.

At that time, socialism collapsed in the Soviet Union and East European countries and the hostile forces viciously tried to isolate and stifle the DPRK, the socialist fortress in the East, through sanctions and blockade.

But, the people of the DPRK constantly advanced along the road of socialism under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The writer sauntered along the bank of the River Taedong, thinking about two different realities displayed in the globe, and was thrilled with creative inspiration through a pine in a park. The feature of ever-green pine with snow on its leaves was the spirit of Juche Korea winning victory after victory even in any world political tempest.

In February Juche 83 (1994), Chairman Kim Jong Il said that the words of the song are more admirable than its melody, representing the strong stamina and feature of the socialist country by metaphor of pine tree, and gave teachings to complete the words into a masterpiece.

After then, famous art troupes of the DPRK wonderfully depicted the song with different kinds of forms.

The song with speculative, earnest and broad lyric aspect has become the one of faith of the Korean people to accomplish the socialist cause of Juche without fail.
