The contest brought together art circle members of institutions, industrial establishments and co-op farms who proved successful at provincial, city and county contests.

The participants in the contest displayed their artistic skills which they have acquired through the mass-based art and cultural activities.

A performance was given at Hamhung Grand Theatre from September 1 to 3 by those participated in the national contest.

Put on the stage were colorful numbers including chorus "With a Single Heart", female solo and pangchang "Arirang for Chol Pass" and national instrumental ensemble "Ballad of Mt Singo".
