Glorifying Exploits of President Kim Il Sung for War Victory Called for
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK carry editorials on Saturday, the 66th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Noting that July 27 is the day of the second liberation for the Korean people when they honorably defended the dignity and sovereignty of the country from the imperialists' aggression and a holiday of victors who defeated the formidable imperialist enemy who dreamed of dominating the world, Rodong Sinmun says:

The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is the victory of President Kim Il Sung's outstanding military idea, Juche-based war methods and superb strategies and tactics.

During the war, the President created and used bold and marvelous Korean-style strategies, tactics and war methods, as evidenced by such completely new and unique operations and war methods as immediate counteroffensive and brave siege-based annihilation, formation of the second front behind the enemy lines and active positional defence.

The world history of wars records many distinguished commanders of prominent strategy and commanding art. But it knows no such a brilliant commander as Kim Il Sung who defeated the aggressors and defended the destiny of the country and its people by leading the only two-year old regular army. Under his guidance the Korean people frustrated the "offensives" worked out by the complacent military strategists of the imperialist allied forces, thus setting a world example of modern war.

We will firmly defend the dignity and sovereignty of our socialist country, adding luster to the exploits of Kim Il Sung for the war victory generation after generation under the guidance of the Party.

Minju Joson points out that the Korean people would surely accomplish the Juche-oriented cause of socialism, regarding the exploits of the President for the war victory as eternal treasure.
