Marwan Sudah, chairman of the Arab Committee for Solidarity with Korean People and Supporting the Reunification of Korea in Jordan, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from June 23 to July 10 and decided to give wide publicity to Kim Il Sung's career and exploits through media and hold political and cultural events in the period.
