Foreign Organizations and Figure Support Korean People's Struggle
Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Ugandan organizations and a Kuwaiti personage on May 29 expressed support for the appeal issued by the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee to Support the Reunification of Korea.

The Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement and the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said in a joint statement that the adoption of the Panmunjom Declaration and the June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement gave great hope to the global progressive mankind desirous of peace and prosperity.

The joint statement expressed the will to further intensify the solidarity movement for supporting the struggle of the Korean people for peace, prosperity and reunification.

Javid Ahmad, chairman of the Kuwaiti Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification, noted in a statement that after the adoption of the Panmunjom Declaration and the June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement by the bold decision and will of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un for defending peace, a peace-oriented current was created on the Korean peninsula which was the biggest hot spot, and a new era of national reconciliation, peace and prosperity opened.

I fully support the efforts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to make the Korean peninsula durable and solid peace zone, he said, adding:

If the south Korean authorities really hope the improvement of the north-south relations, they should honestly implement the Panmunjom Declaration.

The June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement adopted at the DPRK-U.S. summit meeting and talks is a historic one and the U.S. should drastically change its policy towards the DPRK to implement the statement.

I extend firm solidarity to the Korean people advancing despite the hostile forces' moves against the DPRK under the banner of independence.
