Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, was elected as chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee-forming ceremony set a remembrance period from June 1 to July 9, and discussed and decided an action plan of the committee for giving wide publicity to the exploits of the President and organizing political and cultural events including a remembrance meeting and film show.
