Overseas Koreans Call for Setting Up Special Team for Inquiry into Sewol Disaster
Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The Ferry Sewol Overseas Solidarity made public a statement on May 24 to demand the setting up of a special team for investigation into the ferry Sewol disaster, according to a news report.

The statement said that the grief-stricken bereaved families of the Sewol victims have expected in vain that the truth about the disaster will be probed and that the person responsible for it will be punished.

The statement condemned the Defense Security Command and the Intelligence Service for investigating bereaved families and citizens and examining "martial law" so as to cover up the truth in an organized way.

After mentioning that over 240,000 people are petitioning for the complete reinvestigation of the disaster, it demanded that the said special team be set up to probe the truth.
