U.S. Military Drill Aims at Ratcheting Up Situation on Korean Peninsula
Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- A recent revelation has it that the U.S. forces in south Korea staged THAAD deployment drill in Phyongthaek Base in Kyonggi Province.

Commenting on this, south Korean media and experts say that toward the end of last year THAAD was revealed to have been under drill after being relocated to Songju Base in North Kyongsang Province but it is the first time that the drill in Phyongthaek Base was revealed, adding that the recent drill sends a pressure message to the north.

The deployment drill is apparently an extension of the U.S. policy of sanctions to stifle the DPRK, a military provocation to chill the hard-won atmosphere of peace on the Korean peninsula created with much effort and an open threat and blackmail against the DPRK.

In the face of a flurry of censure from a broad spectrum of people against the drill, the U.S. is making lame excuses but it is just a thinly-veiled trick to spare denunciation as the harasser of peace by all the Koreans and the world peace-loving people.

If the U.S. truly wishes for peace on the peninsula, it should not resort to the moves of stifling the DPRK by dint of strength but stop all acts of hostility against the DPRK as the former committed itself to abolish the relations of animosity and write a new history.

The U.S. has to clearly understand that the use of force will bring it nothing, let alone browbeat the DPRK.
