Founding Anniversary of ARF Observed by Swiss Bodies
Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- "The Ten-Point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland" was a historic programme for national and social emancipation of the Korean people.

The Swiss Organizing Committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said this in a joint statement on May 4 to mark the 83rd founding anniversary of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland (ARF).

President Kim Il Sung founded the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland, the first anti-Japanese national united front in Korea, on May 5, 1936, the statement said, and went on:

"The Ten-Point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland" worked out by the President clarifies the issues of overturning the Japanese imperialists' rule, establishing a genuine people's government and organizing a revolutionary army capable of fighting for independence of Korea. It also indicates the issue of enforcing democratic reforms including eight-hour work system.

The ARF was guided by the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and had struggled for independence of the country, relying on the might of the Korean people and rapidly spread across the country in a short span of time.

Korea was finally liberated on August 15, 1945 and it was equal to the victory of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland.
