Present there were members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Thae Hyong Chol, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, and Kim Nung O, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, officials of working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, officials and working people of institutions and industrial establishments in the city and overseas compatriots.

Present there on invitation were members of foreign embassies and international bodies and military attaches here.

He said that President Kim Il Sung clarified for the first time in the history the unique revolutionary principle that popular masses are the master of revolution and they have the strength to push it forward and firmly adhered to the principle of revolutionary leadership with which he had solved all the issues arising in the revolution and construction by dint of inexhaustible creative wisdom and might of the popular masses.

Thanks to the wise leadership of the President who brought up the working people into those responsible for building a prosperous country and set in motion their infinite mental power, finding himself among the people all his life, the Korean people could grow up to be the revolutionary people strong in the independent spirit and creativity, he noted.

Chairman Kim Jong Il firmly united broad segments of working people including the working class around the Party with his benevolent politics for the people and vigorously advanced the socialist cause of Juche with the might of single-minded unity, adding eternal luster to the immortal leadership feats of the President, he stressed.

The wise leadership of Kim Jong Il served as the motive force for the working people of Juche Korea to demonstrate their dignity as independent life-guardsmen and open up the broad way of prosperity with their own efforts, technology and resources, he said.

The history of the sacred revolutionary leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il is being vigorously carried forward by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, he noted.

He called for bringing about a great upsurge in socialist construction through an all-people death-defying drive under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, holding aloft the banner of self-reliance.

He stressed that the DPRK will as ever boost solidarity with the working people in the world aspiring after independence in the idea of independence, peace and friendship and positively encourage the righteous struggle of working people of all the countries for their dignity and rights and the global peace and security.
