The letter said that it was their greatest fortune and honor to celebrate the auspicious April spring holiday in the homeland at an exciting time when the whole country was overflowing with jubilation and joy over the re-election of Kim Jong Un as chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

It noted that their stay in the homeland under the warm loving care of Kim Jong Un was unforgettable days that renewed their pride and honor of being overseas citizens of Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea blessed by illustrious leaders down through generations.

It said that witnessing the strong and brave people of the homeland who dynamically open the avenue of prosperity through a grand march of self-reliance, true to the patriotic appeal of Kim Jong Un, they refreshed the conviction that the DPRK would put an end to the hostile forces' sanctions and emerge as the most powerful country to be envied by the world on the basis of the inexhaustible might of self-reliance in the near future.

It stressed that they would fulfill their mission and duty as officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) in the sacred struggle for ushering in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan, bearing in mind the immutable truth of revolution that the patriotic cause of Chongryon will win only victories along with the revolutionary cause of Juche thanks to Kim Jong Un.
