The celebrations were attended by a vice-director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, a vice-mayor of the Jilin City People's Government, the principal of Yuwen Middle School in Jilin and other Chinese figures.

The attendees laid floral baskets and made a bow before the statue of Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin.

A meeting of the General Association of Koreans in China was held to mark his 107th birth anniversary.

The reporter said that Kim Il Sung embarked upon the road of revolution in his early years and had hewed out the thorny road of the Korean revolution, in which he defeated the two formidable imperialist enemies in one generation to liberate the country and win a great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War with the faith of Juche.

The reporter stressed that Kim Il Sung enjoys boundless respect and praise from all people even now as he remarkably boosted the international position and influence of the DPRK through energetic external activities, rendered sincere aid to the peoples of the countries in their struggle for anti-imperialist independence and socialism and thus made a great contribution to the human cause of independence.

A letter to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

Then a Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia exhibition and photo and book show took place.

An art performance was given by Korean nationals in China and DPRK citizens working in three northeastern provinces of China at the Songhuajiang Grand Theatre.

Meanwhile, colorful celebrations were held by the Liaoning, Zhongnan, Yanbian and Harbin regional associations under the General Association of Koreans in China on April 13 and 14.
