The letter noted that President Kim Il Sung's whole life shines as the career of the outstanding leader, distinguished revolutionary and people's father who decorated the 20th century with the victory of the cause of national independence and the cause of anti-imperialist independence amid absolute trust and support by the people.

It said that the President indicated the road of paving the destiny of the fellow countrymen by founding the immortal Juche idea early in his teens with his outstanding ideo-theoretical wisdom and opened a new era of independence in the history of mankind.

He, taking to heart more than anyone else the tragedy of territorial and national division, indicated the path of national reunification and laid firm foundation for it by setting forth the three principle of national reunification, the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo, the ten-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and devoted his all to the country's reunification till the last moment of his noble life, it noted. He is always alive in minds of all the fellow countrymen as the great lodestar of national reunification, it added.

His idea and cause started from Mt Paektu had been carried forward thanks to the loyalty and leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il and are greeting the heyday as it is led by Chairman of the Staff Affairs Commission Kim Jong Un, another peerlessly great man, it said.

It pointed out that independence, democracy and reunification is sure to come true and the day when the 80 million Koreans enjoy a happy and comfortable life in the reunified country will surely come as President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are immortal as the Sun of Juche and there are rays of guidance of Kim Jong Un.
