Rodong Sinmun Urges Japan to Make Unconditional Apology and Reparation
Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the UK returned a relic it plundered from Ethiopia in the 19th century, a manifestation of its will to admit responsibility for the past and promote reconciliation.

And several other countries have honestly admitted their past crimes and strive not to repeat them.

But there is a thick-skinned country in the world that denies admitting its hideous crimes against humanity, to say nothing of apology, and Japan is the very one, Rodong Sinmun Sunday in an article says.

Japan's denial of its history of aggression and crimes aims at avoiding the liquidation of its past, the article says, and goes on:

The Japanese reactionaries consider that if they continue to deny its history of aggression and crimes, the memories of its crime-woven past would fade away and Japan could get rid of its responsibility for reparation.

It once again lays bare the impudence peculiar to Japan before the world. The human history knows no country, but Japan that stands at the height of shamefulness.

But it is a miscalculation made by Japan. History can neither be changed nor be erased, no matter how hard anyone denies it.

To make an apology and reparation for past crimes is an unavoidable state responsibly of Japan in terms of international law and morality.

The Korean people have the proper right to exact apology and reparation from Japan and will never renounce it.
