An awarding ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Wednesday.

The title of candidate academician went to Choe Jong Sik, department head of Kim Il Sung University, Ri Won Chol, vice-president of Kim Chaek University of Technology, and Mun Jong Won, room chief of the Academy of Agricultural Science.

The professorship was conferred on 14 persons including Ri Kwang Hui, department head of Kim Il Sung University, Jong Mun Il, vice-president of Pyongyang University of Architecture.

The doctorate went to Ri Myong Gi, vice department head of Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University, Jang Sang Yong, teacher of University of National Economy, and others and the associate professorship to 163 persons and the master's degree to 1 161 persons.
