A Swiss preparatory committee for marking the 107th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung said this in a statement issued at its inaugural ceremony on Mar. 7.

The statement said that the President devoted himself to the happiness of the people all his life, regarding it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven.

He also energetically led the struggle for the building of socialism, reunification of Korea and the global independence until the last moments of his life, the statement noted, adding:

The idea and cause of the President were successfully carried forward by HE Kim Jong Il, and are being given steady continuity by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
