DPRK Women's Soccer Team Wins 2019 Cyprus Women's Cup

| Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- The DPRK women's soccer team took the first place in the 2019 Cyprus Women's Cup held in Cyprus from February 27 to March 6 (local time). The event brought together teams from different countries including the DPRK, Nigeria, Belgium and Mexico. The DPRK team beat the Czech team 4:2, South African team 4:1, Finnish team 1:0 in the group A and advanced to the final. The final match between the DPRK team and Italian team took place on March 6 (local time). The DPRK team beat the Italian rival 10:9 in the 11-meter kick after the match ended in draw 3:3. |
