The Swiss Organizing Committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea released a joint statement on Feb. 20.

The statement said:

HE Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as the integral system of ideology, theory and method of Juche and proclaimed the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme programme of the Workers' Party of Korea.

As a result, a steadfast guarantee was provided to model the whole society on the monolithic idea.

He developed in depth Kimilsungism with immortal writing activities.

Saber Ballul, head of the Department of the Political Faculty of University of Damascus in Syria, said in a statement on February 19 that Kim Jong Il's greatest exploit is that he enriched the Juche idea founded by Kim Il Sung.

He noted that Kim Jong Il clearly proved the scientific accuracy and truth, validity and vitality of the Juche idea with his rare ideological and theoretical wisdom and energetic activities.

He said that the Korean people are advancing with high spirit under the banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, holding HE Kim Jong Un in high esteem.

Korean socialism is sure to win, he stressed.
