Present there on invitation were officials of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Beijing Municipal People's Government and other units of China.

Present there were the DPRK ambassador to China and his embassy officials.

The participants looked around photos of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un making the New Year Address and making a visit to China as the first political program for this year.

Speeches were made there.

Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, said that Kim Jong Un paid several historic visits to China to lay a firm foundation for invariably boosting the friendship and unity between the two countries, adding that his visit to China early in Jan. was another event to be specially recorded in the history of DPRK-China friendship and unity.

He affirmed that the DPRK would work hard to fully demonstrate the invariable and invincible DPRK-China friendship by boosting the friendship, unity, exchange and cooperation in various fields this meaningful year marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The assistant to the minister of Foreign Affairs of China said that the atmosphere of friendship between the two countries has got warm since the beginning of the year, adding that the performances given by the friendship art delegation of the DPRK in China were a cultural exchange to put the shared understanding of China and the DPRK sides into practice as well as an important activity conducted on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

He said that the China-DPRK relations under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and Chairman Kim Jong Un have already entered a new historic stage, underscoring the need to make a positive contribution to furthering the friendly and cooperative ties with the concerted efforts as agreed by the top leaders of the two countries.

The DPRK missions in Shenyang, Dandong and Hong Kong of China also gave receptions.
