Attending it were Premier Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea and vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, O Su Yong, vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, and senior Party and government officials, officials of workingt people's organisations, commissions, ministries and national institutions, education institutions and provincial, city and county party and power organs, officials in the field of forest restoration and land and environment protection and officials concerned.

Also present there were Army General No Kwang Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, and other officials of the armed forces organs.

Multimedia programs on the forest restoration and general mobilization for land administration that took place last year were shown at the meeting.

Introduced there were the achievements made by all the people and officers and men of the People's Army in sprucing up the appearance of the country.

Also introduced there were the successes made in the work of realigning land, conserving marine resources and preserving national cultural heritage.

Speakers at the meeting analyzed and reviewed the successes, experience and shortcomings in last year's forest restoration and general mobilization for land administration.

They stressed the need to put tree sapling production on a higher scientific, industrial and intense basis at mother tree nursery across the country and direct sustained efforts into the development of forest science and technology and tree planting and preservation and management.

To push ahead with road construction and management, river improvement, environmental protection and nature preservation and management were also discussed.

The participants also watched a multimedia showing the world-level urban greening.
