Annual General Meeting Calls for Liquidation of Japan's Past Crimes
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- An annual general meeting of the Korean Committee on Measures for the Sexual Slavery for Japanese Army and Drafting Victims took place here on Monday.

Present there were officials of the Committee, victims of the past crimes by the Japanese imperialists, bereaved families and scholars.

A report and speeches were made there.

A reporter and speakers referred to the investigation into the truth about the unethical crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists and to the activities for condemning the base moves of the Japanese authorities for evading the liquidation of the past crimes conducted on a nationwide scale last year.

They also revealed the fact that Japan has incriminated the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and the community of Koreans in Japan and frantically waged the hostile moves against the DPRK, trumpeting about the "abduction" to hush up the issue of liquidating the past with the DPRK.

For Japan to properly resolve the past history is an urgent and important issue in ensuring peace and stability in Asia and establishing the basic ethics and order of the international community, they said, underscoring the need to positively conduct the movement for demanding Japan liquidate the past this year marking the 100th anniversary of the March First Popular Uprising.

The general meeting discussed and decided the issues related to the future activities for further investigating in detail into the unethical crimes committed by Japan against the Korean people by classifying them according to types and regions, building the public opinion at home and abroad against the distortion of history and moves to turn Japan into a military power, and strengthening solidarity with foreign countries in the world.
