Meetings with DPRK Heroes Held
Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Working people's organizations held meetings with DPRK heroes on Thursday to mark the 71st founding anniversary of the heroic Korean People's Army (KPA).

Workers and members of trade unions met with DPRK Hero Kim Sung Un, a lecturer of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, at the Central Hall of Workers.

He said that President Kim Il Sung developed the Korean People's Revolutionary Army into the regular revolutionary armed forces under the independent line of army building after Korea's liberation.

He recalled that the President initiated the aircraft-hunting team movement to frustrate the enemy's "air superiority" during the Fatherland Liberation War and taught KPA soldiers good methods of hunting enemy aircraft.

He said he was honored with the title of DPRK Hero for shooting down five enemy aircraft in 20 odd days with small arms as instructed by the President.

Agricultural workers met with DPRK Hero Pak In Ho, a lecturer of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum.

Pak told that the KPA reliably defended the country and the revolution with the matchless arms in the annals of the revolution under the guidance of the peerlessly great men.

He stressed that the People's Army has fully demonstrated the might of the heroic KPA in the struggle for defending the country and on major fronts of building a powerful socialist nation as led by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

The heroes called upon the workers, trade union members and agricultural workers to become honorable victors in today's worthwhile struggle to consolidate in every way the might of socialist self-supporting economy, true to the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.
