Day of Sun, Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Nepal

| Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- A Nepalese national preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversaries of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star) was formed with due ceremony on Jan. 22. C. P. Mainali, general secretary of the C.C., Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) and former deputy prime minister of Nepal, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. A congratulatory message to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the inaugural ceremony. The committee discussed an action program to give wide publicity to the exploits of the peerlessly great men and organize colorful political and cultural events on these anniversaries. |
