Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Russia

| Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee of Amur Region of Russia for marking the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed on January 20. L. A. Kobuizov, first secretary of the Amur Regional Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The preparatory committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and feats of Kim Jong Il between January 20 and February 16. |
