Day of Shining Star to Be Celebrated in Tanzania

Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- A Tanzanian preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Dar es Salaam on January 12.

Francis F. Lyimo, chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events in praise of Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits between January 12 and February 16.
