Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's New Year Address Hailed Abroad
Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- An Ugandan figure and a Russian organization released statements on January 7 in support of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's New Year Address.

Adding that he respectfully sent New Year greetings to Kim Jong Un, the chairman of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement said that last year was a significant year in which epoch-making events were made in the accomplishment of the cause of national reunification of the Korean people.

He noted that the Singapore DPRK-U.S. summit meeting and talks and adoptions of the Panmunjom Declaration and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration reflect the desire of the Korean people for national reconciliation, reunification and world peace.

He extended support to the firm stand of the DPRK to improve north-south relations and DPRK-U.S. relations and ensure durable peace on the Korean peninsula and in the region.

He hoped that the Korean people would mark the new year as a great one.

The Central Committee of the All-Russia Lenin Young Communist League in its statement said it is rejoiced over the news that the Korean people achieved great successes last year and praises the firm stand of the DPRK to ensure peace and prosperity on the Korean peninsula.

The statement noted that Kim Jong Un made initiative and sincere proposals for the development of north-south relations and the improvement of DPRK-U.S. relations in his New Year Address.

It sincerely hoped that the Korean people will bring about a revolutionary upswing on all fronts of socialist construction in the new year.
