DPRK Students Prove Successful at World Memory Championships
Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Students of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea proved successful at the 27th World Memory Championships held in December last year.

In particular, Pang Un Sim and Ri Song Mi respectively won the International Grand Master of Memory, the top prize of the championships, by breaking the previous world records in junior and senior group events like one-hour random numbers memory, five-min speed numbers memory and random words memory.

Though Pang learnt quick reading method a few years ago, she distinguished herself at the quick reading (brain power) contest of university students in the field of teacher training in Juche 106 (2017) and at the 1st Memory Contest of University Students last year. Ri, too, achieved excellent results at the 1st Memory Contest of University Students.

Deeply touched by their excellent results, Tony Buzan, president of the WMSC, hoped that the DPRK team would continue to attend the championships in the future.

The president of the CMSC and other personages of different countries, too, expressed their great admiration for the DPRK students' results.

Cha Yong Ho, a section chief of the university, told KCNA that their results are a manifestation of the advantages and vitality of the socialist education system of the DPRK which makes the students give full play to their gifts and talents.
