DPRK's Important Day Observed by Swiss Bodies

| Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- The Swiss Organizing Committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea released a joint statement on December 8 on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA). Recalling that Kim Jong Il assumed the responsible supreme commandership of the KPA on December 24, 1991, the statement said: Generalissimo Kim Jong Il consolidated the DPRK to be an invincible socialist fortress by strengthening the KPA. When the DPRK faced the harshest ordeals, he smashed the hostile forces' moves to stifle the DPRK and laid a strong foundation for building a powerful nation by pursuing the Songun politics.
