Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, co-chairman of the Arab Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to hold political and cultural activities in praise of the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il in the remembrance period from November 25 to December 17.
