According to an official concerned, officials and shock brigaders of the 216 Division have effective use of pumice sand abundant in the county, thus hastening the remodeling.

The division succeeded in making putty with pumice sand and wall-block with white pumice sand and invented a method of decorative plastering with red pumice sand, thus adding formative and artistic value to structures.

It has also produced with pumice sand a large quantity of building materials like tiles and flooring blocks.

Meanwhile, the division has pushed forward the construction of a pilot factory for producing pumice building materials at the final stage.
