S. Korea: Chun Doo Hwan's Scheme to Benumb Spirit of Kwangju Uprising Disclosed
Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- The south Korean radio CBS on Oct. 26 laid bare the Chun Doo Hwan fascist junta's moves to stamp out the fighting spirit of the participants in the Kwangju Popular Uprising and cover up its crimes.

It was disclosed that the junta had mapped out a plan for removing graves in Mangwoldong cemetery, where the martyrs of the popular uprising are entombed, for the fear that this area became symbolic of the popular uprising, CBS reported.

In order to carry out the plan, the fascist junta mobilized the South Jolla Provincial Office, Kwangju City Office, a security unit of the puppet army, the Security Planning Board, the prosecution and the police, it added.

The then document on the Kwangju incident shows that the results of carrying out the plan were reported to Chun Doo Hwan, the radio said, stating it goes to prove that Chun personally instructed the operational plan.
