"Encyclopedia of Dermatology" Published in DPRK
Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- The four-volume "Encyclopedia of Dermatology" was published in the DPRK.

The book comprehensively systematizes successes and experiences made in the field of dermatology of the country. It deals with the world's data on skin diseases and more than 1 500 other diseases and therapies.

It consists of 45 chapters of 9 parts. Vol. 1 carries the introduction to dermatology, Vol. 2 skin inflammation and adnexitis, Vol. 3 skin infection and skin diseases caused by environment and Vol. 4 dermatoma and constitutional diseases and skin.

The book was written and complied by tens of competent medical personnel, professors and doctors of Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University, Korea General Red Cross Hospital, Ministry of Public Health Skin-disease Preventive Centre and provincial people's hospitals across the country.

Kim Sang Gun, director of the Ministry of Public Health Skin-disease Preventive Centre, told KCNA that "Encyclopedia of Dermatology", the first book of the medical science circle of Korea, would make a contribution to developing specialization in dermatology.
