DPRK's V-Day Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- Such events as seminar, lecture meeting, book and photo exhibition and film show were held in Nepal, Guinea, Nigeria and Algeria from July 12 to 27 to observe the 64th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Korean films including "Who Drew 38th Parallel" were shown.

Personages of various circles and masses attended the events.

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Nepal Worker-Peasant Party praised President Kim Il Sung as the great leader who defeated the U.S. and Japanese imperialists in one generation, and said:

Under the President's outstanding leadership, the heroic Korean People's Army and the Korean people defeated the U.S.-led imperialist aggressor forces and honorably defended the freedom and independence of the country.

Leader Kim Jong Il pursued the Songun politics to reliably defend socialism from the hostile forces' anti-DPRK moves and put the DPRK on the status of a satellite producer and launcher and a nuclear weapons state.

Today the army and people of the DPRK are single-mindedly united around their Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and had access to even ICBM.

The DPRK's victory of July 27 will last forever thanks to the great leaders.

Guinean personages stressed that Kim Il Sung's exploits for the victory in the war are kept deep in the mind of the Korean people and the world's progressives.
