Release of Prisoners of Conscience Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 9 (KCNA) -- Personages from different social circles in south Korea formed a committee for promotion of the release of prisoners of conscience on June 7, according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo.

At a press conference in Seoul on the same day, the committee said that prisoners of conscience are those who struggled in the van to achieve the workers' rights to existence and suffered from the "Security Law" and underhand politics and those who took part in civic and social movements.

It declared the will to conduct a vigorous struggle for the release of prisoners of conscience.
