Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Kim Son Gyong, director of the Department of European Affairs No. 2 of the DPRK Foreign Ministry, met and had a talk with Annika Soder, Swedish state secretary for Foreign Affairs, in Stockholm on May 16.

The DPRK side informed the opposite side of its principled stand to further develop the relations between the two countries and stressed that the U.S. nuclear threat and hostile policy towards the DPRK should be put to a definite end to ease tensions on the Korean peninsula and ensure peace and stability in the region.

The Swedish side said that Sweden has made steady efforts to make contribution to the development of the long-standing relations with the DPRK and guarantee of peace and security on the peninsula, and expressed its stand to continue to make efforts for the development of the bilateral relations.
