Unjust Action against Korean Schools in Japan Protested
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- An emergency meeting in demand of the withdrawal of the Japanese authorities' decision on suspending payment of subsidies to Korean schools in Japan took place at Korean Primary Middle School in Chiba of Japan on April 29.

Present at the meeting were officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, Koreans and parents of students of the school in Chiba Prefecture and members of the "Society of Schools in Chiba" and other Japanese personages.

The Chiba city authorities took a measure of suspending payment of subsidies to Korean Primary Middle School in Chiba on April 27 on unreasonable charges.

The rector of the school said that an art piece representing Korean women who suffered sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army could not be a hurdle in the issue for payment of subsidies, expressing the will to conduct proper history education.

Participants in the meeting declared the will to struggle against the unreasonable measure of suspending payment of subsidies to Korean schools to the last.
