Quality Control Further Improved in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- The DPRK is channeling bigger efforts into the quality control this year, a year of key importance in carrying out the five-year strategy for national economic development.

Primary efforts have been directed to improving the quality control in electric power, metal and chemical industries.

Various industrial establishments, including the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, Chollima Steel Complex and the February 8 Vinalon Complex, strive to update the weighing and measuring instruments and analysis equipment for different production processes and carry out the control and test for newly-established production processes in a scientific way.

The same is true of the fields of railways, coal and machine-building.

The light industrial sector concentrates efforts on developing quality control rules into a regular system, while pushing forward a work to improve the method of quality inspection, keep hygienic standard in the production and pack products more presentable.

It has been encouraged to ensure the quality of goods in close cooperation between inspectors and producers or consumers. And factories and enterprises are urged to steadily raise the quality of their products on the basis of science and technology.
