Rodong Sinmun Slams S. Korean Authorities' Action to Bring Nuclear Disaster to Nation
Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the south Korean puppet authorities announced that they agreed with the U.S. warmongers to stage Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises this year on a larger scale than the biggest-ever war rehearsals conducted last year.

Meanwhile, they wooed media into loudly advertising that U.S. nuclear-powered carrier Carl Vinson, nuclear strategic bombers B-2 and B-52 and other nuclear strategic assets would be massively deployed in the projected muscle-flexing.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a commentary terms this an unpardonable, criminal action of pro-U.S. lackeys keen to escalate the confrontation with the compatriots and bring a nuclear disaster to the Korean nation.

It is an important task facing the nation to achieve detente on the peninsula and improve inter-Korean relations, the commentary says, adding:

Therefore, the present situation requires the south Korean authorities to think with cool heads and behave with reason.

This not withstanding, the puppet regime has disclosed its intention to intensify the joint military drills against the north together with the U.S., far from responding to the north's efforts to improve the inter-Korean relations.

This brought to light once again their heinous scenario to provoke a nuclear war against the north together with outside forces and push the situation to an extreme phase of tension while persistently turning down the north's goodwill and magnanimous offer.

Tragedy is that the puppet group of traitors is making desperate efforts to do harm to the compatriots in the north, not aware of their wretched plight without an elementary sense of the reality.

It is pitiful for them to act without discretion like a stupid still counting on their master U.S. who looks no more reliable.

Even U.S. nuclear strategic assets can never help the puppet forces get out of the pitfall of destruction.
