Discrimination against Korean Schools Protested in Japan
Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- The first Friday action was staged outside the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan on Jan. 27 in demand of applying the tuition-free program for senior high schools to the Korean schools.

Students of the Korean University, compatriots and Japanese personages, involved in the action, called for lifting the discrimination policy against the Korean schools.

Rejecting the decision of the Osaka District Court as unreasonable, they charged that the action taken by the Japanese government and self-governing bodies to exclude only Korean schools from the list of the tuition-free program is not only unreasonable national discrimination but an act of violating the right to learning.

They declared that they would fight on with all efforts to defend the national education, a work for protecting the dignity of the nation.
