The seminar heard papers on the feats performed by the peerlessly great persons in leading the work to preserve and add luster to the spoken and written languages peculiar to the Korean nation and make the noble and civilized linguistic culture prevail throughout the society.

Speakers noted that President Kim Il Sung established the then Institute of Korean Language on Feb. 3, Juche 36 (1947) with insight into the importance and significance of developing the national language in stepping up the building of a new society.

They referred to the fact that the President built a center for specializing in the study of the Korean language and trained researchers and indicated important guidelines for developing it, thereby laying a basic groundwork for developing the mother tongue in a Juche-oriented manner.

And they explained and proved that he protected the most developed Korean letters from the Japanese imperialists' machinations to obliterate the spoken and written Korean language, shattered the moves of the anti-party, counter-revolutionary elements and laid a foundation for the Juche-oriented development of the Korean language.

They also recalled that leader Kim Jong Il upheld the linguistic ideas and theories and feats of the President and led the struggle to establish Juche in the linguistic life.

They stressed respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's idea that to establish the noble and civilized linguistic culture should be a firm tendency prevailing in our society serves as highly important guidelines to be held fast to in stepping up the building of a highly civilized and powerful socialist country.

The speakers expressed the will to preserve and add luster to the feats Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for the development of the national language and make the fine cultured language of Korea contribute to building a powerful socialist country.
