Day of Sun, Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Russia

| Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for celebrating the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star, birth anniversaries of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, was formed in Russia on Jan. 23. V. A. Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize various political and cultural events praising the revolutionary careers and exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the said anniversaries. |
