Its vice general secretary for international affairs was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the days from January 25 to April 20 as a celebration period and decided to organize various political and cultural events praising the revolutionary careers and exploits of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu in the period.

It also decided to give wide publicity to the achievements made by the Korean army and people in building a socialist power under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
