Rodong Sinmun Derides Japanese Chief Executive's Planned Visit to Pearl Harbor
Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- The chief executive of Japan will reportedly tour Pearl Harbor on Hawaii with Obama on Dec. 26 and 27.

Abe describes his junket as the one for honoring the memory of victims, asserting that the disaster of war should not be allowed to repeat itself. He is trying to give impression that the visit would "greatly contribute to peace".

Irony is that U.S. Defence Secretary Carter, who flew to Japan the day Abe made public his planned visit, told him that Obama is looking forward to his visit.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Thursday says it is a despicable gesture to raise the curtain on "peace" burlesque there.

The chief executives of the world's biggest war criminal states are staging farces in the places that suffered war disasters, pretending to be sad. This is nothing but a cynical ploy to cover up their horrible war crimes and further tighten the U.S.-Japan military alliance for aggression, the commentary notes, and goes on:

The balance of forces in the Asia-Pacific region is now dramatically changing. The U.S. and Japan are getting very uneasy about the changing situation as they share ambition for dominating the region.

They are seeking a way out in further tightening the U.S.-Japan military alliance.

Precisely for this reason, Obama toured Hiroshima and is now looking forward to Abe's visit to Pearl Harbor.

Obama and Abe are mulling fresh war crimes through the closer alliance, working hard to sweep each other's past crimes under the carpet in disregard of the world public mindset and the changed situation. But this behavior would only make the fate of the U.S. and Japan more miserable.
