Kim Jong Il Remembered in China
Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- A remembrance meeting of families of those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle took place at the DPRK Embassy in Beijing Tuesday on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Present at the meeting were families of Korean anti-Japanese revolutionary veterans in China, Chinese anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs and Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and the DPRK ambassador and staff members of his embassy.

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Yu Ming, a son of Li Zade, a Korean anti-Japanese revolutionary veteran in China, said that attending the remembrance meeting, he missed Kim Jong Il very much.

He was very glad to hear that Marshal Kim Jong Un was elected chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) at its Seventh Congress and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK at the 4th Session of the 13th Supreme People's Assembly, Yu said, adding: We are convinced that he would lead the Korean revolution to a brilliant victory, true to the intention of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Families of Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle said that the demise of Kim Jong Il is a great loss to not only the Korean people but also them.

They stressed that the Korean people working miracles in the building of a socialist power under the guidance of Kim Jong Un would register bigger successes while smashing every move of the U.S. imperialists and their south Korean stooges.
