DPRK's Proposal for Founding Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo Supported by Egyptian Newspaper
Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The Egyptian newspaper Al Akhbar Almassay carried an article titled "The most realistic way of Korea's reunification" on Oct. 28.

The article said that President Kim Il Sung put forward the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo (DFRK) at the Sixth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in Oct. 1980, adding:

The proposal is the most realistic and fair one that makes it possible to reunify the country independently and peacefully on the principle of great national unity.

This proposal calls for reunifying Korea by founding a Federal Republic through the establishment of a unified national government on the condition that the north and the south recognize and tolerate each other's ideologies and social systems, a government in which the two sides are represented on an equal footing and under which they exercise regional autonomy with equal rights and duties.

The struggle of the WPK and the Korean people for achieving national reunification, the supreme national desire, will bear a shining fruit before long thanks to the wise guidance of the respected HE Kim Jong Un.
