Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons of the DPRK are now speeding up the construction of houses and public buildings at the final stage in Hoeryong City, one of the flood-hit areas in North Hamgyong Province.

They had already finished the exterior plastering for more than 1 760 flats and 10-odd public buildings, including schools, kindergartens and nurseries.

They started painting their outside walls and covering the roofs with colored iron sheet all at once on October 24.

At present, the plastering of walls and ceilings is going on at 65 percent and 50 percent each. And such works as tile-setting, fixing windows and rezoning of surroundings were launched at the same time.
