S. Korean Healthcare Trade Union Stages General Strike

| Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Healthcare Trade Union is staging a general strike from Sept. 28 in protest against the puppet authorities' anti-labor policy. That day the organization held a rally for general strike and all-out action in Youido, Seoul with at least 4,000 unionists from across south Korea involved. Speakers said that the system of paying salaries according to piece rate is little short of privatization. A declaration was adopted at the rally. It said they will not tolerate the system of paying salaries according to piece rate. |
