DPRK's Holidays Marked in Germany, Angola
Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place in Germany and round-table talks in Angola on Sept. 26 and 27 to mark the 19th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the 71st founding anniversary of the WPK and the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

Present at the events were figures of various circles and masses in those countries.

The chairman of the Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany said:

The Workers' Party of Korea has invariably inherited the glorious tradition of invincibility, weathering all sorts of trials of history under the guidance of the great leaders.

President Kim Il Sung founded the WPK on Oct. 10, 1945 and led the Korean revolution to victory.

Leader Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into the party of Kim Il Sung both in name and reality.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un's election as chairman of the WPK is of great significance for the WPK and in accomplishing the global cause of independence and the historic event firmly guaranteeing victory of the Korean revolution.

The general director of an Angolan general company said that the WPK is leading the struggle of the army and people of the DPRK who are registering world-startling successes on all fronts of building a socialist power while resolutely smashing all challenges of the hostile forces led by the U.S.
