They are weightlifters of the Kigwancha Sports Team and Rim Jong Sim is a twice Olympic gold medalist.

In June of the year Rim Un Sim won three gold medals in 63 kg category of the World Junior Weightlifting Championships, with a lift of 26 more kilograms in total than the runner-up.

Two months later, her elder sister Rim Jong Sim came first in 75 kg category weightlifting of the 31st Olympic Games.

She took the 69kg weightlifting title in the 30th Olympic Games. And in the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships, she injured herself while attempting third snatch and took a medical advice, but made lifts with indomitable will and was cheered by weightlifters, exports and the crowd.

Their mother Ri Yong Hui, who was an acrobat in her vernal years, told KCNA:

"My daughter Jong Sim shocked neighbors by carrying 10-kg water bucket in her nursery days.

Anyhow, it is our grateful socialist system that discovered and cultivated my daughters' talents and put forward them as world-class weightlifters. They are now at the meridian of honor."

Rim Jong Sim had an honor of participating in the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and Rim Un Sim an honor of attending the 9th Congress of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League.
