Opening to Public Pollution Situation of U.S. Military Bases Demanded in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- The Civic and Public Measure Council for Denouncing Illegal Introduction and Experiment of Anthrax Germs and other organizations of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on August 17 to urge the puppet authorities to open to public the information about the investigation into the environment pollution of the bases of the U.S. forces. A press release was read out there. It said that the authorities have kept mum about the plan, method and scale of investigation into the environment pollution of the U.S. military base in Ryongsan, even though they are now conducting the investigation. The Ryongsan base is the worst polluted one among the U.S. military bases in south Korea, it said, adding: It is necessary to take such measures as opening to public the information about the pollution of the U.S. military bases and investigation into it and let civilians take an active part in the investigation in order to clear the public of suspicion about the environmental pollution and rid it of the fear of the pollution. |
